The unique spiral flute design improves chip ejection and coolant flow to the point. 118° self-centering split point allows aggressive cutting. The drills are capable of machining on various difficult-to-machine surfaces including cast iron, high silicon aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, nickel alloys. It significantly reduces friction and thereby, offers higher feed rates. The standard helix angle of 30° can wrap slowly and is used in drilling hard materials including brass.
